Introduction
The Diamond Cafe is a cafe offering both cold and hot food as well as a wide selection of hot drinks. It is located on the ground floor of the Diamond building at one of the main entrances and is very convenient from grabbing a snacks whilst working to getting lunch in between lectures.
Area
The Cafe is placed facing the church giving people there a nice view. There is a quite large seating area in front of the cafe however during peak hours it may be more difficult to find a space to eat. Luckily, all the food and drink can be taken out so you can find seating elsewhere. As for the layout of where you order, there are three main areas. There is an area for sandwiches and crisps against the wall, a desk which you can order hot food from and the central desk area in the shape of a oval where you can order hot drinks and other small snacks from.
Menu and Recommendations
Throughout the day, you can order hot drinks from the central desk. This includes tea in which you can chose from some tea bags, hot chocolate, and a wide selection of coffee including espresso, chai latte, flat white and milk or white chocolate mocha. These can also be ordered in a variety of sizes. There is a large selection of different sandwiches and some salads which are bracketed into different price groups as well as a few different brands of crisps and popcorn such as Pipers and Walkers. Finally the hot food area serves different food depending on when you arrive. In the morning they have a selection of croissants and breakfast meals such as sausage rolls. They then serve lunchtime meals such as pizzas and chips however this varies from day to day. Personally, I would recommend getting the meal deal, as many hot drinks are covered in it which is something few other cafes or supermarkets offer, and you can also get a snack and a bag of crisps for a reasonable price.
